Our History.

From the beginning, Stephen Jacobs has had a passion for good food. Luckily for the community of Richboro; he made his passion and vision a reality and opened Flap Jake’s in 1991. Located in the Giussueppe’s shopping center, Flap Jake’s was open for breakfast and lunch. After serving the public delicious Jake’s cuisine for seven years, they outgrew that store and looked to move to a larger location.

In 1998, Flap Jake’s moved into its current location, in what was formerly New Roman Pizza. After extensive renovations, the restaurant opened for dinner a year later and was renamed Jake’s Eatery.

Jake’s Eatery serves only the freshest ingredients. Everything you see on the menu is made fresh and to order; sauces, soups and gravy – you name it! And in 2011, Jake’s Eatery brought its deliciously prepared meals and outstanding service to Newtown.

In the spring of 2015, Jake’s Eatery of Richboro expanded and opened “Jake’s Pub”, serving high-end cocktails and as always, high-end service!

Stephen Jacobs has worked most of his life in the restaurant industry. The Spread Eagle Inn, TGI Fridays and the Richlandtown Hotel are just some of the places Jacobs worked before opening an award-winning restaurant of almost 28 years.
